Do Your Research
Why is research important?
With any tattoo, you want to be sure to do your research. This is of key importance for multiple reasons.
- You want to know the back story. Why is this design important to your client?
- Why are these elements of importance to the design?
- Example – A client comes in seeking out a Zeus tattoo. What elements would you include?
Example Client
The first thing you would want to do is Google Zeus.
- Zeus was the ruler of the Olympians of Mount Olympus
- You may want to include Mount Olympus in the background
- Zeus was the “Father of Gods and men.”
- You may want to include him as a hierarchy to other Gods or men (example make him larger and above them)
- In Greek mythology, this child of Cronus and Rhea was also the god of thunder and the sky.
- You may want to include thunder and sky elements in your design
