  • How Do I Pay My Deposit?

  • Are there any piercings you WON’T do? We will not do piercings that…

    • Aren’t safe
    • Won’t fit your anatomy & heal properly
    • On any person visibly intoxicated or under the influence
    • Are on people being jerks – don’t be a jerk!
    • If we choose to refuse any service, we will advise you of our reasoning along with any potential problems & longevity issues that may arise from your decision to have that particular piercing performed.
  • What do I need to know BEFORE getting pierced?

    • It’s always best to be pierced in as natural a state as possible. It’s better not to be pierced under adverse circumstances.
    • If you’re sick or under the weather, please wait until you’re feeling better before getting pierced.
    • Make sure to eat something a few hours before you come in. Getting pierced on an empty stomach may cause you to feel faint, nauseated, or dizzy.
    • Allow plenty of time for your visit. Your piercing session will be most enjoyable if you have time to appreciate it.
    • Proper hygiene is extremely important before & after getting pierced. Fresh clothing and a recent shower will get your new piercing off to a great start.
  • Is getting pierced safe?

    • At our shop, absolutely. We take great pride in cleanliness & safety for both YOU, the client, and for our piercing staff. We adhere to strict protocols to avoid any & all cross-contamination and we provide new, sterile, disposable needles for every client. You will witness the piercing needles opened in front of you prior to your service, as well as their disposal into a regulated sharps container immediately upon completion of your piercing to ensure they are never used again.
  • Do piercings hurt?

    • Yes, piercings hurt a little – but more than anything it’s just a quick pinch & you’re done. Pain is relative & everyone has a different tolerance.  But rest assured, people would not be returning again & again for piercing after piercing if it hurt that bad.
  • Do I have to make an appointment?

    • We HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling the shop or message your piercer directly before making the trip, especially if you:
      • Have time constraints
      • Are coming from a long distance
      • Are under 18 years of age
      • It would suck to get here only to find out your piercer is off or we’re already booked that day!
  • Can I bring someone with me?

    • Space in our shop is limited and regulated for the health and safety of clients and artists.  We recommend coming by yourself or if you feel the need to bring 1 hand holder, let them know that they will need to stay in the designated area provided to them.
  • What metal types do you offer for piercings?

    • Metal Quality
Our starter body piercing jewelry is made from implant grade stainless steel 316L or titanium. This is the same metal quality that expensive high-end jewelry is manufactured from.
  • Can I bring in my own jewelry for the piercing?

    • We cannot use any jewelry brought in for a piercing – Piercings @ Pinups and Needles are always done using steam autoclave sterilized equipment. Our piercing needles are laser cut, pre-sterilized, and single use only.  We cannot pierce with brought in jewelry, because we cannot guarantee the metal quality or content and is against the health department regulations.
    • But we would be happy to change out your jewelry once the piercing is fully healed!
  • Can I Get Pierced While Pregnant?

No, we will not pierce anyone that is pregnant.  This increases your risk of infection.  Pregnancy takes a toll on the body and can decrease the immune system’s full function.  Piercing someone while pregnant is also against health department guidelines and is a liability for insurance companies.

Can I Get Pierced While Breastfeeding?

Generally, people who are breastfeeding and three months postpartum are safe to get tattoos and piercings that are not on the breasts.  If you are over 3 months postpartum, then yes, we can pierce you (as long as it is not a nipple piercing).  If not, then no we will not.
